Do you know about the 10th Chakra?

Most people these days know a little bit about the 7 main chakras of our personal energy system, but do you know about the 8th to the 12th?  These chakras are just as important and in my next few blogs I would like to offer information about these other chakras and how they operate from my perspective.

I have recently put up a post about the 4 of pentacles which was about reviewing our beliefs about money and security. In that reading, I was guided to advise readers that the chakras in question for that day were 1, 3, 7 and 10.  The thought occurred to me that some people may not know much about the 10th Chakra’s role and because I was also asked to read for someone channeling information through the 10th chakra the same day I decided to share what I have learned through my guides and experientially about this chakra today.

The 10th Chakra is situated about 70 cm below the feet.  The colour associated with it is dark red, or earth brown.  It is your connection to your ancestors, lineage, and the earth, which includes guides such as Trees, bodies of water, rocks, crystals and animals.

The 10th chakra also holds ancestral strong holds and pacts in place as well as earth-based memories.  This can include connections to the elemental beings as well as the protectors and keepers of the land itself.  When reading or doing Reiki healing for indigenous people I am drawn to this Chakra first.  By connecting to their lineage, I am able to sense any negative patterns handed down through generations, their spirit animals and ancestors as well as the strengths and ancient knowledge they have access to at that time.

Money is often associated with the 10th chakra, as it is linked to perceptions of survival.  Health is another for the same reason and by tapping into the 10th chakra it is possible to heal any inherited trauma and use our intention to create a clear balanced relationship with the earth and our family heritage.

There are many ways to begin to explore this chakra and one of the simplest is to do a grounding meditation.  You may ask for guidance regarding any family patterns that may be hindering your state of peace, or by connecting to nature and listening to any messages you receive from your surroundings.  Being consciously grounded is vital in today’s world and by paying attention to yourself and your connection to nature you will find it easier to untangle any old disempowering thoughts or belief systems you have inherited from the past.
