About

Abstract Painter • Art Therapist • Creative Wellbeing Practitioner

Welcome — I’m Shavarnia, an abstract painter and art therapist whose work is rooted in creativity, spirituality, and the healing potential of artistic expression. Born into a creative family and shaped by the awe‑inspiring landscapes of New Zealand, my connection to nature, colour, and the unseen world has guided my artistic and therapeutic path from a young age.

As an artist, I create fluid, gestural abstract paintings that explore consciousness, movement, and the subtle spaces between the physical and spiritual realms. My work is characterised by vibrant colour, layered forms, and dynamic compositions that invite introspection, contemplation, and emotional resonance.

Alongside my studio practice, I offer art therapy and creative wellbeing programs for older adults, individuals in therapeutic settings, and people seeking gentle, meaningful creative support. My approach is warm, person‑centred, and grounded in the belief that creativity is a powerful pathway to emotional regulation, connection, and inner transformation.

Art Therapy & Creative Wellbeing

I provide sensory‑aware, therapeutic art programs tailored for aged‑care residents, hospitals, mental‑health settings, and adults seeking creative healing.

Studio Practice

Working from my studio in the Northern Rivers, I create gestural, layered abstractions that explore colour, movement, and the shifting atmospheres of place. My paintings reflect the interplay between external landscape and inner experience, offering viewers a space for contemplation, resonance, and personal interpretation.

Whether through art therapy or abstract painting, my intention is the same: to create spaces where creativity becomes a source of healing, connection, and meaning.
